Neurotoxin
We offer neurotoxin injection to help prevent and treat wrinkles.
Botulinum toxin has been used in medicine since the 1940s, but it was a very observant (female) opthamologist - Dr. Jean Carruthers - who first noticed that patient’s whose strabismus (lazy eye) was treated with botox injections didn’t get wrinkles.
The medication works by making it difficult for muscles to contract, thus preventing the overlying skin from constantly folding and eventually developing fine lines.
So, if you already have some wrinkles have you missed the boat? Nope. By starting tox now and engaging in good skin care, you can absolutely still improve the look of your skin.
Today, there are a number of versions of botulinum toxin A. “Botox” is the original, but these days we also have Xeomin, Jeveau, Dysport, Daxxify, Letybo and others. While there are some people for whom a specific brand matters, they are somewhat interchangable. Our goal is to get the best price possible for our patient’s but still have access to different brands for those who need them.
Microneedling
We feature the Juvepen system with or without PRP therapy.
By breaking up the surface of the skin with controlled micro-injuries, we trigger the bodies natural healing mechanisms that increase production of collagen and elastin. This helps to improve skin’s tone and texture as well as helping with acne scarring and fine lines and wrinkles. These are “micro” injuries and you shouldn’t look like a bloody mess when we are done. You may have a mild sunburn appearance that will be gone aobut 6-12 hours after the procedure. During the procedure, we apply an anti-aging serum that has antioxidants and is particularly good for treating skin pigmentations.
PRP - platelet rich plasma - is obtained when we draw your blood, spin it down and remove just the liquid part or “plasma.” This plasma has skin boosters, stem cells and platelets, which help improve the skin’s tone and texture even more. When patient’s desire this, we combine it with the antiaging serum described above for the ultimate antiaging treatment that takes advantage of your body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Dermal Fillers
We offer dermal filler to help with lip hydration/volume, support the cheeks and lift the face.
Dermal fillers are compounds that help replace the volume that is naturally lost from our face as we age. While many people think of wrinkes as the key sign of aging, the sagging skin, jowl formation, hollowing of temples and midcheek, loss of lip volume and the straw lines are all the result of a loss of volume. Dermal fillers were developed to help replace this volume.
The two most commonly used areas are the cheeks and the lips. The cheeks are oft called the “bra of the face” for their job of holding everything up. This requires a stiffer filler that can act as a good support bra. The lips require a completely different approach. A lip that looks hydrated and doesn’t have lines, but is still kissably soft is our goal. We’ve all seen people who had too much. Our goal is that your have gorgeous lips and if somone finds out about the filler, their first response is “No Way!” In the wrong hands, dermal fillers can be quite dangerous and this why you need injectors with a firm grounding in facial anatomy and who will be up front with you about where its dangerous to use. All fillers come in 1 cc syringes. Syringes are single use for each patient.
Hair PRP
Restore volume to thinning hair and nourish your scalp.
Have you ever noticed thin spots in your hair that didn’t used to be there? As we age, our follicles are more likely to stay in a dormant phase for longer periods of time and our follicles can become blocked over time. By utilizing the PRP technology, we can provide valuble growth factors that help to return/prolong the hair growth phase. This usually requires multiple treatments - usually monthly x 3 or 6 months and then a booster every 6 months to maintain results.
Chemical Peels
We offer chemical peels to help improve skin texture and fine lines and wrinkles.
In order for our skin to look it’s best, it’s important to make sure the top layer of the skin is healthy young cells. To achieve this, we can use chemical peels to remove old, dead skin that causes a dull appearance, reverse sun damage and promote the growth of healthy new cells. Peels can be shallow, medium and deep. Medium and deep peels require application by a skilled provider to make sure it doesn’t go too deep. We offer The Perfect Peel and have additional boosters for patients who want that little extra. You should expect peeling on days 3-7 after the peel. If you have photos or major life events coming up, plan accordingly! Not everyone experiences this and if you don’t, it doesn’t mean the treatment had no effect. The better your starting skin condition, the faster and easier your recovery will be.
The Plus Plus booster adds additional ingredients that help with stubborn skin staining and pigmentation from things like melasma. It is not for those with significant skin sensitivity.
IV therapy
Bypass the gut and replensish the body by getting critical nutrients in IV form.
Do you feel run down, fatigued, and like you are constantly getting a cold? Do you want to boost your workouts to the next level? Does every stomach bug that goes through town make a stop at your house? Then IV therapy may be the solution for you.
IV therapy offers the opportunuity to bypass the gut and get the nutrients where you need them most. Today, many people have mild food intolerance or take antacids regularly and this blocks absorption of key nutrients. Plus, we could all eat a little healthier and our food supply could be alot cleaner. IV therapy does require working with a helth care provider and depending on the need, may nee bloodwork to evaluate current nutrient levels and to monitor progress.
